Molina Launches Action-Based Learning Lab at Berkeley County School

10/26/2018

In celebration of National Make a Difference Day, Molina Healthcare of South Carolina donated the funds and resources to launch an Action Based Learning (ABL) lab at Cainhoy Elementary, a Title 1 school in Berkeley County. The lab replaced an empty classroom and consists of various active learning stations that are designed to teach students through movement and interaction, such as kinesthetic learning posters, reading balance boards, a letter learning wall mount, an action-based learning ladder and much more. Some of the tools and resources were donated by ABL at no extra cost in their support of Molina’s efforts to enrich the education of these students.

To launch the opening of the school’s first ABL lab, a certified ABL educator, along with Molina Healthcare employee volunteers, school staff and a class of 3rd graders, set up the various tools together. The students had a great time utilizing the new classroom.
